Abstract
The Civic Militia was an element of the Polish communist state. In the structures of MO was a criminal division, whose task was to combat crime. This criminal division, like any police force in the world, worked with the help of secret informers. Working with such informers was determined by secret criminal guidelines. These guidelines were often inconsistent with the then law and human rights. During the Stalinist years they were used in the fight against political opponents. The records of the secret criminal guidelines allows one to learn the tactics of criminal service MO in combating crime in the People’s Poland. This work is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License.
