Abstract
This article is about Polish riot police forces. Under their current name they were created in 1990 and are still functioning today. Their main tasks include securing mass events and public demonstrations, safeguarding public security and order in times of crisis and during visits of foreign representatives. In Poland there are 21 units of this kind, which are located in all voivodeships. In the early years of existence the laws were changed quite often, but over the years an optimal model has developed that works well. The evolution of legal regulations defining the organizational and staff structure of these units is presented in article. This work is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License.
