Abstract

A synthetic look at contemporary aspects of national security, indicating that social and economic issues are gaining importance. Military matters are also important. Poland, as an EU and NATO member state, is a beneficiary of positive political and economic changes in Europe. That is why our security is determined by a number of phenomena that occurred in the 20th and the beginning of the 21st century. The aim of the article is to identify contemporary aspects of international security affecting national security (states). What factors influence changes in the perception of security in the world, and its connections with national security. The article presents the implications of understanding security resulting from changes taking place in the global security environment. National security remains the domain of a given entity individually, due to its vagueness and prolonging the policy of a given state.
