Abstract

Security is a phenomenon that is undergoing constant evolution. The beginning of the 21st century has brought many changes in the field of security. This has been influenced by, among other things, civilizational changes, the development of technology and a change in the mentality of society and politicians. In the first part of the article, the term security and a historical outline of the changes in international security are indicated. Subsequently, the factors that have had a significant impact on the changes in the evolution of security in Europe are listed and then the current situation in international security is characterised.
